The first IKEA store in the heart of Podbeskidzie has already been opened

A new compact IKEA store opens its doors in the Gemini Park Shopping Center – the first such format in Poland and one of several pilot ones in the world. This is an important step in the development of the brand, which wants to be even closer to the everyday life of many people and their home needs.

The new IKEA in Bielsko-Biała is a smaller store in which customers will find all the services offered in larger outlets. Over 1000 products will be available immediately, and the entire IKEA offer will be available with convenient delivery to your home or selected pick-up point the next day.

“The store in Bielsko-Biała is a place created for convenience, everyday needs and easy access to our offer. I believe that the inhabitants of Podbeskidzie will quickly find out that this new way of meeting IKEA is a combination of practicality, inspiration and good design at an affordable price” – says Karol Barcal, Director of the Silesian Region at IKEA Retail in Poland.

The new IKEA store in Bielsko-Biała is part of a global test of formats that are created faster and with fewer runs than traditional stores. Thanks to this, the brand can flexibly respond to the changing needs of customers and be present in places where there are no large IKEA stores so far. This format complements the existing network of stores, planning studios and online sales, strengthening the omnichannel experience and giving customers more freedom to choose how they shop.

IKEA in a nutshell – everyday solutions at hand

The store’s assortment includes various categories that help to decorate the home from the kitchen to the children’s room. Customers will find practical culinary accessories here – from the KONCIS garlic juicer or the UPPPHYLLD salad centrifuge, to the elegant ARV BRÖLLOP glass platters, the well-known and popular GLADELIG cups and MOPSIG cutlery – as well as solutions for the little ones, such as the ANTELOP high chair or the colourful MAMMUT table. There will also be products that support order in the home, such as DRÖNA boxes, IKEA 365+ food containers or KLIPPKAKTUS containers for organizing in the refrigerator, as well as elements that increase the comfort of everyday life, such as various sets of bedding, pillows or the best-selling ÄNGSKORN mattress protectors.

“With the mobile app and digital solutions, shopping is even easier – you can check the offer faster, use the shop&go option and avoid queues. IKEA Family club members will also be able to enjoy their benefits here, in a small format. I believe that our new store will quickly become a daily meeting point with IKEA, always available when the inhabitants of Podbeskidzie need practical solutions for their homes” – convinces Paulina Dziubek, IKEA Store Manager in Bielsko-Biała.

Tastes of Sweden in Podbeskidzie

In the IKEA store in Bielsko-Biała, there is also an IKEA Bistro, where you can eat Swedish meatballs with blueberries and fries. From today, the brand’s characteristic food products, such as the iconic HUVUDROLL meatballs (meat, vegetable and plant-based), KAFFEREP cinnamon buns or the popular DAIM cake, can be bought in the Swedish Shop and taken home.

Inspiration and planning under one roof

The new format of the store gives not only the opportunity to make quick purchases, but also support in interior planning. The IKEA planning service (previously available in the IKEA Planning and Ordering Studio in Gemini Park) will help customers design kitchens, storage systems or other solutions tailored to individual needs and spaces. And with the IKEA app, you can conveniently plan your purchases in advance, and with the shop&go function, you can complete them faster on the spot, bypassing the queues.

IKEA in the Silesian Voivodeship

In Silesia, IKEA customers have been dealing with various forms of contact with the brand for many years. In 2000, an IKEA store and restaurant were opened in Katowice. In 2020, the IKEA Planning Studio was established at the Gemini Shopping Center in Bielsko-Biała, which in 2022 was transformed into the IKEA Planning and Ordering Studio. In April 2024, a new format of the IKEA Planning and Procurement Studio in Gliwice was opened.

In addition, people shopping online on IKEA.pl or in the IKEA Mobile Application can pick up their orders at stationary and mobile IKEA Order Pick-Up Points, of which there are as many as 8 in Silesia and over 65 throughout Poland. In Bielsko-Biała, such a point operates at 130 Piekarska Street.
