Vestas Poland joins the list of tenants at the CTPark network in Toruń. In the facility, it will launch, among other things, a training center. In December, the company also announced plans to increase employment at its factory in Goleniów
In Toruń, Vestas will occupy part of one building within a complex located on a plot of over 14 hectares, in the vicinity of key transport routes. Ultimately, the investment will consist of two halls with a total leasable area of over 46,600 sq m.
In December, Vestas announced the expansion of its wind turbine blade factory near Goleniów with a second production line. The plant, located near Szczecin, is set to increase its workforce from 400 to 700 employees.
The company’s announcement explained that the investment will enable it to supply blades to onshore wind farms, in particular for EnVentus’ V172-7.2 MW turbine. It was emphasized that the second line will double production capacity to “meet growing demand across Europe.” The company announced that it would increase employment at its Polish plant by 300 people.
Poland has great potential in both onshore and offshore wind energy, and the second production line is the next step in our strategic expansion of our European production base, explains Nils de Baar, Regional President, Vestas Northern & Central Europe and Global Offshore.
We have ambitious plans to further strengthen our position on the Polish market for both onshore and offshore wind energy. Vestas has been present on this market for over twenty years, and we are proud to be able to offer our Polish customers key components manufactured in Poland, emphasizes Nils de Baar.
