We have joined the “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” coalition and initiative.

The bells rang yesterday for the twelfth time as part of the Ring the Bell for Gender Equality initiative – not only at the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) but also at more than 120 stock exchanges worldwide.
The initiative, led by the United Nations Global Compact, highlights the importance of gender equality across all areas of social and business life. This year’s discussions focused in particular on strengthening women’s safety and agency – at home, at work and in public spaces. This year, SPCC joined the “United for Equality” coalition, together with several bilateral chambers, expressing our commitment to promoting the Women’s Empowerment Principles. The declaration was signed by Agnieszka Zielińska, Managing Director of SPCC.
As emphasized during the opening session by Katarzyna Kotula, Government Plenipotentiary for Equality, investing in women means investing in the stability, innovation and security of our economy. Nordic countries, with their strong tradition of supporting equality and diversity, continue to inspire efforts to promote women’s participation in public and professional life. Nordic companies operating in Poland are also actively contributing to these efforts.
Congratulations to IKEA for receiving the “Equal Opportunities in Business” award for creating an inclusive and equitable workplace – and congratulations to Anita Ryng!
Thank you to UNGC, especially Kamil Wyszkowski and Weronika Kosiń, for the invitation to be part of this important initiative.
