Orange Energia and Fortum join forces – since 1st of October under the joint Fortum brand
As of October 1, Orange Energia operates under the Fortum brand. The rebranding is the result of the completion of a transaction between Orange Polska and Fortum, under which Fortum acquired Orange Energia. Joining forces will provide access to competitive offers tailored to customers’ needs.
As part of a long-term partnership between the companies, Fortum’s offer will be available in all Orange Polska stores at least until the end of 2028.
Fortum is a leading energy retailer in the Nordic region, serving over 2 million customers. It is also one of the cleanest energy producers in Europe – nearly 99% of its energy is generated from renewable sources and nuclear power. Fortum has been operating in Poland since 2003.
Orange Energia, with over 130,000 customers, will become part of the Consumer Solutions division responsible for delivering energy solutions to more than 2 million customers across the Nordic countries, Poland, and Spain. The acquisition aligns with Fortum’s strategy focused on providing clean and reliable energy, supporting decarbonization, and developing innovative solutions for customers.
