Meeting: Transformation of Silesia – how to finance the diversification of activities?
The meeting will take place on July 11 at 11:00-14:30 in Gliwice, we will present you both the current FST offer for companies from Silesia, Poland, as well as we will present other possibilities of co-financing in the field of research and development, expansion of production infrastructure or increasing energy efficiency of operations.
Silesian Voivodeship is one of the 5 Polish regions that can currently use the funds of the Just Transition Fund (FST), targeted at areas facing the biggest socio-economic challenges related to the implementation of the European Green Deal. FST is in the case of the Silesian voivodeship 7 subregions (bielski, bytomski, gliwicki, katowice, rybnicki, sosnowiecki, tyski) and over PLN 2 billion of funds directed at the transformation processes of areas, whose current development was based primarily on the extraction of fossil fuels and industrial activities characterized by high greenhouse gas emissions.
The funds from FST for entrepreneurs from the Silesia region are primarily a chance to obtain funding to diversify their activities, gradually move away from mining activities and enter new markets. In the coming months, companies providing products and services for the mining, energy, automotive and metal sectors (including, among others, the production of mining machines and equipment, production/will be able to count on special funding opportunities/delivery of rubber and plastic products) or mining support services.
The host of the event – Institute of Mining Technology KOMAG – will present its offer for business, especially when implementing B+R projects and will present its research capabilities.
