Finnish Summer Picnic – Discovering Finland through its culture, traditions, and sports

On June 13, the annual Finnish Summer Picnic organized by the Finnish Section of SPCC took place. This year’s edition was a journey to the heart of Finland – its culture, values, traditions, and sports that are an integral part of Finnish DNA. Every young participant received a Finland Explorer Passport and, by collecting stamps at various activity stations, discovered Finland through fun and hands-on experiences.

A wide range of attractions prepared by our sponsors and partners awaited the participants:

🔵 a Finland quiz prepared jointly by ECOVIS POLAND, suomen unipol oy, Stora Enso, Raisio, and Nokia,

🔵 a Moomin treasure hunt organized by Fazer,

🔵 a health and safety challenge at the AFRY stand,

🔵 a relaxation zone prepared by YIT,

🔵 board games provided by Tactic Games Oy,

🔵 Disc Golf activities hosted by Leinonen Poland,

🔵 a Mölkky tournament organized by the Polish Mölkky Federation,

🔵 traditional darts competitions,

🔵 first aid workshops conducted by volunteers from the Polish Red Cross – for both people and their four-legged friends.

Once again, the Finnish Picnic became a place for meeting, connecting, and discovering Finnish culture in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere.
