Project Dannevang | Calbud

Project Dannevang is a unique development that combines a modern approach to architecture with inspiration drawn from the Danish way of life. It is an example of conscious urban planning based on values such as harmony, functionality, and closeness to nature—the foundations of the Scandinavian philosophy of hygge.
The investment, carried out by P.B. Calbud from Szczecin, reflects the growing interest in Danish style and its distinctive approach to residential design. Dannevang is not merely a building—it is an urban concept aligned with the idea of creating friendly, comfortable living spaces within the city.
The inspiration for the project came from the visit of King Frederik I of Denmark to Szczecin, associated with the opening of the VESTAS factory in January 2024. This event highlighted the importance of Polish-Danish cooperation in the West Pomeranian region. Dannevang serves as a symbolic expression of this relationship, bringing elements of Danish aesthetics and philosophy of life into the local architectural landscape. The name of the development and its concept were also consulted with the Danish Embassy, further emphasizing the project’s authenticity and its alignment with Danish tradition.
As we learned from the Danish Embassy, the name “Dannevang” was once used to refer to Denmark. Today, it is an archaic term that, in the minds of Danes, evokes associations with warmth, home, and a sense of community. This meaning perfectly reflects the idea behind the development—a place created with comfort, closeness, and everyday security in mind.
The building has now been completed and has received its occupancy permit. Final works related to landscaping and greenery are still underway, which will complete the overall vision and give the development its final character.
We encourage you to view the visualizations.
