Westpomeranian MED HUB is a partnership that brings together the business community, academia, and local government. It serves as a platform for discussions on innovation, challenges, and solutions in the medical and biotechnology sectors.

A few days ago, the entities co-creating this important regional initiative signed a Letter of Intent, which marks the starting point for further collaboration among the MED HUB participants.

We would like to thank the Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce for being invited as a supporting partner, alongside the Marshal’s Office of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, the Deputy Mayor of Szczecin, and the Mayor of Stargard.

The Letter of Intent was signed by representatives of leading companies from the medical sector:

…as well as higher education institutions such as the Pomeranian Medical University.

The Ministry of Industry was officially established in March 2024.

A year later, SPCC had the great pleasure of hosting the Minister of Industry and Energy, Marzena Czarnecka, for a meeting with the Chamber’s members. The main tasks of the Ministry focus on industrial development, with a particular emphasis on the energy transition.

As Minister Czarnecka emphasized, Poland still obtains about 40% of its energy from coal; however, the transition to a diversified energy mix—based on nuclear power and renewable energy sources—is already underway.
