OX2 has made an investment decision regarding the Annopol onshore wind farm in Poland, with a total capacity of 40 MW. The investment amounts to over PLN 340 million, and the wind farm will remain the property of OX2 after the completion of the works.

The Annopol Wind Farm is located in the municipalities of Gościeradów and Annopol, in south-eastern Poland, and is the second project implemented by OX2 in Poland in the IPP model, as an independent energy producer. The wind farm will consist of 10 Vestas turbines (V136) and the total production will be around 155 GWh per year. OX2 acquired the project in 2020 and finalized its development in the second quarter of that year. Construction will begin immediately and will be completed in 2027.

OX2 has concluded a long-term financing agreement for the project with Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski (PKO Bank Polski).

The commencement of the construction of the Annopol Wind Farm is a milestone in the implementation of the development strategy in the IPP model, and the signing of a long-term financing agreement with PKO Bank Polski provides a strong financial basis for the project. This is an investment that not only increases OX2’s generation capacity in renewable energy sources, but also really supports the energy transition in Poland – says Tomasz GuzowskiPresident of OX2 Poland.

The Annopol wind farm is the second OX2 project implemented in Poland in the IPP model. In July, the Rutki photovoltaic farm with a capacity of 100 MWp, built in the Opole region by OX2 as an independent energy producer, also began production.

The OX2 group, which comes from Sweden, in the municipalities of Annopol and Gościeradów, undertakes a number of activities addressed to residents. The company provided, m.in, support to the units of the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Annopol and Gościeradów. She was also a patron of the participation of Polish competitors of the robotic group from Kraśnik in a world-class competition.
