Nordics have placed in top ten out of 40 countries in the Global Cleantech Innovation Index 2017, compiled by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and Cleantech Group.
Denmark came in first place, followed by Finland and Sweden rounding out the top three. Norway came 9th.
The CCII programme investigates where it is most likely for new cleantech companies to emerge and thrive. “The Nordic countries have the prerequisites to become the Silicon Valley of innovation, where new technologies are born, develop and go out to the world,” says Liisa Rohweder, secretary general of WWF Finland.
