Increased business production in September in Sweden 9-11-2016

Production in the business sector increased by 2.4 percent in seasonally adjusted figures in September compared with August. Compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, production in the business sector increased by 2.9 percent in calendar adjusted figures.

Production for all sub-indices increased in September compared with the previous month. Industrial production showed the strongest development, with an increase of 7.6 percent in seasonally adjusted figures compared with August. Service production had the weakest development, with an increase of 0.5 percent.

Production was almost unchanged during the third quarter compared with the previous quarter, with a decrease of 0.1 percent in seasonally adjusted figures. Industry had the weakest quarterly development, which was dampened by an increase in production in construction, which in total gave a slight decrease in production.

In calendar adjusted figures, production in the business sector increased by 2.9 percent in September compared with the corresponding month in the previous year. Construction had the strongest development, with an increase of 6.1 percent, while industrial production had the weakest development with an increase of 1.5 percent.
