Copenhagen: the world’s greenest city! 4-11-2016

The city of Copenhagen is on a roll when it comes to green titles and is once again ranked number one on the 2016 Global Green Economy Index by Dual Citizen Inc.

Copenhagen was also ranked number one on the 2014 Global Green Economy Index and regained the title this September. The index measures both the green economic performance of 50 cities and how experts assess that performance. The GGEI measure four key dimensions: leadership & climate change, efficiency sectors, markets & investment and the environment.


Top ten Green Cities – City Perception Rank 2016:

1. Copenhagen
2. Stockholm

3. Vancouver
4. Oslo
5. Singapore
6. New York
7. Berlin
8. Helsinki
9. Paris
10. Tokyo

In the performance index of the 2016 GGEI Sweden is again the top performing country, followed by the other “Nordics” and Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.
