Polish-Norwegian trade in January-February 2016 25-04-2016

According to preliminary data of the Central Statistical Office dated 21.04.2016, Polish exports in total in January-February 2016 increased by 3.0% and amounted to 28.289 billion euro.
In the same period, imports increased by 2.1% to 26.972 billion euro.
Thus, the balance of Polish foreign trade in the year amounted to 1,317 billion euro.

The value of trade between Poland and Norway in the analyzed period fell annually by 1.2%, reaching 0.557 billion euro.
Polish exports to Norway decreased during the period by 6.5% to 0.307 billion euro, while imports increased by 6.1% to 0.251 billion euro.

As a result, the balance of trade between  Poland and Norway improved and amounted to 0.056 billion euro.

Among the major groups of goods with the largest share in total exports was recorded:
- Vehicles, aircraft, vessels and equipment (32.8% participation) - CN code XVII - decrease of exports by 8.1% y / y,
- Production of base metals and articles of base metal (share 14.0%) - CN code XV - a decline of 15.0% y / y,
- Mechanical and electrical equipment; to register and receive audio (share 12.1%) - CN code XVI 
 a decline of 19.4% y / y,

Among the major groups of goods with the largest share in total imports was recorded:
- Live animals; products of animal origin (share 49.1%) - CN code I - the value of imports by 35.4% y / y,
- Production of base metals and articles of base metal (share 28.5%) - CN code XV - an increase of 8.0% y / y.
- Chemical products (share of 6.1%) - CN code VI - an increase of 1.1% y / y.
