Happiness Index: Scandinavian countries among ones with the happiest workers 10-12-2015

Swedish employer branding experts Universum has released their latest research report, The Global Workforce Happiness Index, which ranks countries based on the happiness and loyalty of its workforce.

The firm surveyed 250,000 people from 55 markets around the world. The Global Workforce Happiness Index uses a scoring system that tracks three factors:

             Employee satisfaction

An employee’s willingness to recommend a current employer

An employee’s likelihood to switch jobs in the near future.

Scandinavian countries dominate the rankings with Norway on second position and Denamrk on fourth. The findings also show that the wealthiest nations don’t always provide the happiest working conditions – for example Japan has been ranked on the bottom of the list.
Sweden came 11th and Finland 12th in the ranking.

Top ten countries of The Global Workforce Happiness Index 2015:

1. Belgium
2. Norway
3. Costa Rica
4. Denmark
5. South Africa
6. Austria
7. Switzerland
8. Greece
9. Czech Republic
10. Russia
