The World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Index has ranked Nordic countries high again 20-11-2015

The index sought to discover the width of the gender gap in health, education, economic opportunity and political representation on a global scale.

Altogether 145 countries were ranked, charting how evenly they are distributing their resources and the opportunities between women and men, regardless of their overall income levels.

Iceland and Norway were ranked in the top two spots in this year’s index, with the gender gap found to be at its widest in Yemen, Pakistan and Syria. Finland took the third spot, Sweden fourth and Denmark fourteenth.
