Scandinavian universities in the first hundred of the highest ranked universities in the world 12-09-2013

Helsinki moved up nine places in the rankings this year, and is now the third-highest ranked Nordic institution in the comparison which is produced by education company Quacquarelli Symonds.
Copenhagen(45th) and Lund (67th) are ahead of Helsinki, while Uppsala, Oslo and Aarhus trail Finland’s best seat of learning.
Helsinki University is ranked 69th in the world. It is the only Finnish university to be ranked among the global elite.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology came first in the comparison, with Harvard ranked second and Cambridge University third. British and American institutions dominated the top ten.
