Telko Poland Sp. z o.o., the Polish subsidiary of the Finnish Kauko Telko Corporation was awarded "The Finnish Company of the Year in Poland Award". The award has been established in co-operation with the Finnish Trade Guild and Finpro Poland and was granted for the first time in 2004. Telko Poland’s Managing Director Kim Jensen received the award which was handed over by Mr. Jan Store himself, the Finnish Ambassador to Poland, at a ceremony at the Le Regina Hotel in Warsaw.
Rockwool, the Danish producer of stone wool isolations, will invest 250 million PLN in 2008, in the Suwalki Special Economic Zone (SSEZ) at their Malkinia plant (in Podlasie). The firm has begun construction of their new production line for stone wool there.
