During the closing gala of the Summer Stage of the Witold Gombrowicz Municipal Theatre in Gdynia Orłowo in the evening of 19 August, Nordea Bank Polska handed prizes to the winners of the B Nordea Photo competition.

This year’s “Nordea Photo – The Summer Stage Through The Lens” competition was held for the tenth time, marking a jubilee. The best pictures in each of the two categories: professional and amateur, were selected by a jury chaired by the well-known Tri-City photographer Maciej Kosycarz.   The main prize in the professional category, amounting to PLN 3,000, was awarded to Marcin Łabędzki. The best amateur work was a picture by Adam Dereszkiewicz, who received a cheque for PLN 2,000. Łukasz Dejnarowicz received an honourable mention in the professional category and the same accolade was given to amateur Michał Kempiński. Each of the two photographers was awarded a PLN 1,000 voucher for the purchase of photographic equipment.

The best pictures will be put on display in the Municipal Theatre in Gdynia this autumn and the photographs by the winners of last year’s competitions can be seen in the City Hall Gallery of the Gdynia City Hall until the end of August 2012.
