Eight employees of Polish hotels Park Inn and Radisson Blu ran in the 33rd Warsaw Marathon. They covered a total distance of 336 km and collected more than 5.5 thousand Pln. This money will be donated for seriously ill children from the Wish Foundation in Poland. In the Marathon the Rezidor Team came second in the amount collected for charity.

The Rezidor Hotel Group, as part of its CSR program, supports those who need it most. The Polish employees of company went one step further... they even ran 42 km further. Eight amateur-runners representing Polish Radisson Blu and Park Inn hotels decided to run their first in life marathon. They took part in the 33rd Warsaw Marathon. All eight completed the run, covering a total distance of 336 km - the same distance as between Warsaw and Gdansk! "Our main goal was not the result, although it is a great feeling to complete the marathon. We wanted above all to collect money for the Wish Foundation, which helps seriously ill children" - says Krzysztof Wieslaw, one of the marathoners, and the Regional Controller Poland SE Europe in Rezidor Group.

 "We realized our goal, and what's more, we came second in the amount collected for charity" – he adds.

"Marathon in Warsaw was to us only the first step. We would like to collect even larger team for the XI Cracovia Marathon next year… and in the future maybe even get the “Crown of the Polish Marathons!"- says Wojciech Liszka, marathon runner, basketball referee and the Director of Sales and Marketing at Radisson Blu Hotel Krakow.
 
The aim for the Rezidor Team runners was collecting 5 000 Pln. Thanks to the commitment of hotels and their business partners they reached the amount of 5540 Pln, that will fulfil the dreams of kids from the Wish Foundation.

September, as every year is the month in which all the Rezidor Group hotels take special actions which are part of  "Responsible Business" CSR program. This year the motto is held under the common banner "Hotels with a heart". The idea of joining the 33-th Warsaw Marathon is part of planned actions during "Responsible Business Action Month", which are focused on supporting local communities.
