Global law firm White & Case LLP has strengthened its cross-border dispute resolution capabilities with the appointment of experienced litigation partner Pawel Pietkiewicz, who joins Firm as head of its ’s Dispute Resolution Practice in Warsaw and brings with him 19 other lawyers.

Paweł Pietkiewicz Paweł Pietkiewicz heads the Dispute Resolution Practice in White & Case Warsaw office. He has extensive experience across a wide range of litigation and arbitration cases. For the last several years he has been ranked as Poland's leading litigator by The Legal 500 and Chambers Europe. Paweł has also been an arbitrator in proceedings carried out on the basis of the rules of the Court of Arbitration at the National Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Confederation of Private Employers “Lewiatan”, and the Court of Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. He is the Chairman of the Appointing Committee of the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Confederation of Private Employers “Lewiatan” and is entered on the list of arbitrators of that court. He is author and co-author of numerous publications relating to arbitration, which include: Commercial Arbitration, CH Beck, 2010; Capacity to Enter into an Arbitration Agreement, International Arbitration Law Review 2002; International and Domestic Commercial Arbitration on the Threshold of the 21st Century, Warszawa 2008.
Tomasz Manicki Tomasz specializes in regulatory procedures and advises clients predominantly in administrative (regulatory) proceedings and business criminal law disputes. He represents clients either as a defense counsel, or as an attorney for entities held liable on an auxiliary basis, or as an auxiliary prosecutor. Tomasz’s experience also includes advising on compliance programs, codes of conduct and FCPA investigations.
Łukasz Hejmej Łukasz has a wide range of experience in various disputes, such as commercial or intellectual property disputes. He has advised on numerous occasions with respect to product liability and claims resulting from insurance contracts, which involved issues related to D&O insurance, IPO and PI insurance, as well as financial institutions or property insurance. He has also drafted many types of general terms and conditions of insurance. Łukasz specializes in issues such as corporate disputes and State Treasury liability, including those under international law in relation to the protection of foreign investments.
Sebastian Pabian Sebastian represents clients in court proceedings and arbitration. The cases he has dealt with include in particular: insurance claims, civil and criminal liability of members of companies’ governing bodies, regulatory disputes, litigation concerning the protection of personal rights, as well as corporate and property rights in companies. Sebastian is also experienced in drafting policies for D&O and IPO insurance. His professional practice also covers providing day-to-day legal advisory services to companies and advising on commercial transactions.
Paweł Samborski Paweł specializes in construction disputes and arbitration. He has represented major international and Polish contractors, investors and consultants in disputes before state courts and in arbitrations under UNCITRAL, ICC and the Polish Chamber of Commerce rules. He has acted in disputes relating to a EURO2012 stadium, national roads, commercial centers, a fast tram project, industrial plants and office buildings (defects in works and design, delay, additional works, increase of costs, terminations and subcontractor claims).
Michał Subocz Michał specializes in dispute resolution before arbitration and common courts and his main area of expertise is construction disputes. His experience includes representing major international and Polish contractors, investors and consultants in disputes before state courts and in arbitration proceedings under UNCITRAL, ICC and the Polish Chamber of Commerce rules. Recently he has represented a client in a series of disputes before the Arbitration Court at the ICC, and in international arbitration proceedings.
