We are pleased to inform that the Warsaw five-star Radisson Blu hotel is the first hotel in Poland to have received the Green Key certificate, which is awarded to establishments which meet modern standards in the field of ecology and use of advanced technologies. Thus, the Radisson Blu in Warsaw will set standards in this regard among Polish hotels.

The Green Key certificate has been awarded since 1994 by FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education), an international organisation whose Polish representative office operates under the name Fundacja Partnerstwo dla Åšrodowiska. The aim of FEE's activities and the establishment of the Green Key certificate is to develop environmental and social awareness.  The international program is mainly aimed at establishments whose operation is focused on the performance of utility functions - i.e. hotels, youth hostels, conference centres and student campuses.

Establishments which would like to be awarded the Green Key certificate must meet several criteria in the field of ecology, e.g. reasonable water and wastewater management, refuse and recycling management, and take an active part in international and local environmental protection projects and in educational and social campaigns. The Radisson Blu hotel in Warsaw is the first hotel in Poland which has met those expectations in 100%!

Receiving the prestigious Green Key certificate and, as a result, the inclusion of the Radisson Blu hotel in Warsaw to the group of distinguished institutions and establishments from all over the world, is a great honour and privilege not only for the hotel's management board. Thanks to the Green Key, Poland has joined the elite list of countries boasting advanced environmental and technological awareness. We hope that the example of the Radisson Blu Warsaw – the first  hotel in Poland to which the Green Key certificate has been awarded – will begin an effective process of changes in perceiving problems in the nearest environment and solving them effectively.
