Scania Polska: Aims at development in SÅ‚upsk

New Scania's production facility in SÅ‚upsk after recent rebuilding, has become one of the most effective and modern bus factories in Europe.

Whole production system has been organized in most efficient way in order to achieve high quality in production - according to the method called Scania Production System (SPS).
- In this system, we aim at people, technology and environment. We are ready to enlarge our production according to the rise in sales in public communication - says Gert Flodkvist, Managing Director of Scania Production SÅ‚upsk S.A.
The official opening of new production system took place on 14th of September. Notable guests participated in the event -  Leif Östling (Chairman of Scania), Gert Flodkvist (Managing Director of Scania Production SÅ‚upsk S.A.), Roman Zaborowski (Governor of the Pomeranian Region), H.E.Dag Hartelius (Ambassador of Sweden).
Scania Production SÅ‚upsk, which employs 700 people has become a centre of Scania's buses production in Europe.
Scania started investing in SÅ‚upsk in 1999 when together with Kapena S.A. they created a joint venture Scania Kapena S.A. Since 2002 production is focused on buses and cooperation with Kapena ended the same year.
