This year's “Biggest Exporter” title as part of the Health Care Forum Award, during the Economic Forum in Krynica, was awarded to Essity Group, a manufacturer of innovative medical devices.

The Health Care Forum ranking is a project accompanying the Economic Forum in Krynica, as part of the Health Care Forum, selecting the best companies that deal with the provision of medical services, the production of medical equipment and substances, as well as similar health-related activities. The goal of the initiative is to show and appreciate the best companies in this sector, their investment expenditure, research expenditure and growing employment. The jury of the competition assesses companies taking into account primarily such elements as development, investment, as well as scientific development.

Essity is the world's largest producer of absorbents for adults under the TENA brand, but also innovative medical devices including specialist dressings, compression products and orthoses. The company has been present in Poland since 1991 employing 850 employees. Thanks to the factory in OÅ‚awa, one of the most modern such plants in Europe, for 20 years it has been producing modern absorbent materials for adults in Poland not only on the Polish market but also in Europe and the world.

It is estimated that about 450 million units of this basic medical product are sold annually in Poland, which affects the quality of life of the elderly and those affected by urinary incontinence, whose number in Poland is estimated at about 2 million.
