The Tricity market is the seventh in Poland where Skanska implements its office investments. Wave, the first project of the Skanska office company in Gdańsk, will provide approx. 48,000 sqm. of modern space. The company presented a design by the well-known architectural studio medusa group, combining a timeless, industrial architecture with public meeting places inspired by Baltic dunes. This is the first project in Tricity which will receive the prestigious WELL certificate, confirming the high comfort and quality of office buildings.

Wave has been designed to support alternative means of transport. The project will provide approximately 400 parking spaces for bicycles. In both buildings there will be infrastructure with cloakrooms and showers for cyclists and runners. The investment will also include scooter and electric car stations, which future employees will be able to use.

The Wave project reflects the Skanska philosophy. It is a combination of special care for the natural environment and work comfort of the office building's users. Wave is designed in accordance with the WELL certification guidelines. It is one of the most demanding systems, putting the health and well-being of people at the center of attention. WELL Building Standard® is a certification system developed by IWBI ™ (International WELL Building Institute ™). As part of the certification, seven categories are monitored and evaluated: air, water, nutrition, light, physical condition, comfort and mind. In total, the Institute takes into account the 102 features of each building and work space.

Additionally, thanks to solutions that take into account the needs of people of varying degrees of activity and age, the Skanska project in GdaÅ„sk is designed in accordance with the guidelines of Fundacja Integracja and will meet the requirements of the “Object without barriers” certificate.
