Volvo Polska will provide articulated hybrid buses to the Municipal Transport Company in Kraków. This is yet another city in Poland ordering this type of vehicles - last year Volvo delivered the largest fleet so far of 35 hybrids to Sosnowiec, and also won a tender for the supply of hybrid buses to Jelenia Góra.

The Municipal Transport Company in Krakow settled the tender for the supply of new city buses. In the part concerning hybrid vehicles (the tender also included diesel-powered buses), Volvo Polska's offer was chosen - the company will provide 12 such vehicles.

In Poland, Volvo hybrid buses run in WrocÅ‚aw, InowrocÅ‚aw, Tarnowskie Góry and Warsaw, and in recent months the largest fleet of 35 buses has been ordered by PKM Sosnowiec. In total, Volvo has sold more than 2,000 such vehicles so far to public transport operators in over twenty countries.
