Ericsson presented the first experimental 5G system working in the 28 GHz band in the 1GHz spectrum for the first time in Poland.

Examples of applications of 5G technology and demonstration of equipment and software developed in Poland for radio technology were the subject of Ericsson's Radio Tech Day in Kraków, organized on 16th November 2017. The launch of Ericsson Garage at the Research & Development Center in Kraków is part of Ericsson's 5G strategy.

Ericsson Garage is a common, incubator space for operators, businesses, developers, startups, universities and end users, focusing on innovation in 5G, IT, cloud computing, virtualization, Internet of Things and R&D. Ericsson Garage in Kraków will provide innovators and start-ups from around the world with space to create breakthroughs and the right solutions for real industry issues.
