Börje Ekholm, CEO of Ericsson, has visited Poland. During a one-day visit he met with company customers, authorities, and above all with employees of the branch in Poland.

Börje Ekholm, CEO of Ericsson, visited Poland. During his first visit to Poland, he met with the CEOs of Orange Poland, Play, T-mobile Poland and Polkomtel. The discussions were focused on the company's strategy, current and future projects in which companies cooperate. In the interest of all was 5G development, preparation and implementation of solutions for Internet of Things. A focused, business-like vision and clear strategy for the ICT market made the visits to the Polish operators positive and productive.

Same day in Warsaw, Ekholm met with Jadwiga Emilewicz, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Development. The discussion included impact of the 5G technology on the development of the national economy. They also highlighted the intellectual and creative contribution of almost three thousand Ericsson employees in Poland on teleinformatic.

Ekholm emphasized the intention to develop R&D Center in Kraków and Łódź where Polish enginners work on radio solutions, products and technology used in the whole world.

Börje Ekholm has also visited the new Swedish ambassador in Poland, Stefan Gullgren. Ericsson, as one of the significant Scandinavian employers in Poland, is an important embassy partner in tightening the Polish-Swedish contacts.

Over the specially arranged meeting, employees of the Polish Ericsson site met with the CEO. The meeting was completely focused on a direct conversation, without Power Point presentation. Although there were hundreds of employees in Warsaw, more than two thousand people working in Poland could join the debate online.

The meeting was full of questions about product development, strategy and company future. Börje Ekholm emphasized the important role of the Polish R&D Center in the development of radio technologies in the world.
