Vastint Poland Sp. z o.o.: laid the foundation stone for its first residential investment in Poland

10-10-2017

Vastint Poland marked the official start of construction works by laying the foundation stone for the Riverview investment in Gdansk. It’s the first of many similar projects planned on the Polish development market. The ceremony was held on the site where seven residential buildings will be constructed. Sales of apartments are expected to begin mid-2019, on completion of the construction.

The investment is being constructed at the junction of Na Stepce and Angielska Grobla Streets in Gdansk, in the vicinity of Granary Island, with a view on Ołowianka Island and Polish Baltic Philharmonic.

Riverview will comprise seven residential buildings reminiscent of the city’s traditional architecture. A total usable floor area amounts to over 14,600 m2. The offer will include 282 units in different configurations: from studios to penthouse and from one-level suites to two-level ones. The largest apartments, with a view of the Motlawa River, will offer a total area of 135 m2. Most apartments will have a terrace or a balcony, some of them will also have a private garden. All will be characterised by a well thought-out and functional layout of the rooms.

The project will be distinguished by high construction standards, in particular the use of high-quality, durable finishing materials, e.g. brick and ceramic roofing tiles. Care has been also taken to ensure good acoustics of the interiors by using materials which outperform standards in the market.

Another asset of the investment is a carefully designed landscaping. The inner courtyard is designed as a garden. The greenery blends in perfectly with the functional zones including a playground, indoor fitness club and BBQ area – being an ideal spot to unwind, enjoy the outdoors and have a cosy chat with a neighbour.

The residential estate, designed with pro-environmental solutions, is the first residential investment in Poland to apply for LEED certification. Accordingly, the foundation act signed during the cornerstone ceremony reads: “In consonance with the investor’s philosophy, Riverview will be resident-friendly and will feature high fit-out standards and innovative functional and pro-ecological solutions.”

Today’s cornerstone ceremony was attended by the city authorities, representatives of the investor and general contractor. Our honorary guests underlined the perfect harmony between the investment and historical character of the city as well as the importance of the investment in the revitalization of the neighbourhood.

Roger Andersson, Managing Director at Vastint Poland, said, “Today we laid the cornerstone for our first residential project in Poland. I have particularly high hopes for this investment. This is a big step forward for our company. Riverview will be a model for all future residential projects we are planning to carry out in the coming years. We are proud to begin our journey on the residential development market here in Gdansk.”

Ewa Łydkowska, Marketing Manager, stated, “I am convinced that the project will be well-received by our prospective clients. Some of them already express their interest in purchasing the apartments. I would like to point out that we are planning to begin the sales mid-2019, after completion of the construction. We want to offer a finished product and not a virtual apartment in the early stages of construction. Such an approach will ensure that our clients, choosing Vastint’s offer, are convinced they have made a wise decision. It will also guarantee simplification of the sales transaction process.”

The construction works began in June 2017 and are expected to be completed within 24 months. The general contractor for the investment is CFE Polska, belonging to the Belgian CFE Group. The architectural design was created by APA Wojciechowski architect studio. The investor and developer of Riverview is Vastint Poland, a part of the international Vastint Group with over 25 years of experience on the Polish market. So far, Vastint Poland has been known for its office projects, innovative Business Garden complexes and hotels, e.g. Courtyard by Marriott in Gdynia and Marriott Resort & Spa in Sopot (previously known as Mera Hotel & Spa). The developer is also responsible for the implementation of a multifunctional complex called Gdynia Waterfront at the President’s Basin in Gdynia.
