Ericsson: and Łódź Special Economic Zone support Polish innovation in business

26-09-2017

Ericsson has signed a Letter of Intent for cooperation with the Łódź Special Economic Zone, on the combination of knowledge and experience of an international corporation with the potential of the most promising startup entrepreneurs.

As part of the cooperation, the parties declare their willingness to build partnerships in the design of projects reflecting the needs of Ericsson customers, and opening up the possibility of pilot implementation to innovative entrepreneurs.

The collaboration will allow SMEs and startups to understand the principles of international collaboration, establish business relationships, expand their business, and, above all, create added value in the form of products or services that respond to today's or tomorrow's market needs.

The ŁSSE will mediate in the verification, recruitment and mentoring of startups whose solutions will initially be implemented in Poland, and if the criteria are met, they will be able to replicate them with Ericsson customers around the world.

- Ericsson, as an innovative company with expertise in technology and market awareness, opens up incredible opportunities to the SME sector and startups working with the ŁSSE. I am convinced that this cooperation will bring many benefits to our customers and will enable us to better exploit the business potential of Internet in Poland and in the world - said Marcin Sugak, responsible for the Industry & Society sector at Ericsson Sp z oo.o.

- The Łódź Special Economic Zone, through its participation in the project, will implement its strategy, one of which is to support SMEs, startups and networking. We have an experienced team who will carry out acceleration activities as part of the cooperation, which will contribute to developing a model cooperation with Ericsson - comments Agnieszka Sygitowicz, Vice-President of ŁSSE S.A.
