The Coloplast company, a global leader of the market for specialized medical products, has been featured in Forbes magazine's ranking of the world's most innovative companies, alongside such innovation powerhouses as Tesla, Amazon or Netflix.

Companies in the ranking are assessed by their innovation premium, calculated using a proprietary algorithm assessing investors’ likelihood to appreciate the companies’ prospects of profitable new growth. To be included, firms need seven years of public financial data and $10 billion in market cap. The ranking includes only innovation-intensive industries, excluding ones that have no measurable investment in R&D (like banks and financial services), or energy and mining firms, whose market value is tied more to commodity prices than innovation.
