Last week BALJACZA has organised a workshop entitled “How to communicate with a chinese counterparty – when you don’t speak chinese” for one of its regular customers.
 

It was a tailored service – the company accommodated Customer’s specific requirement and somewhat stepped outside the confines of its everyday activity, although it was not the first time they have the pleasure of participating in such a project. In the past they had the opportunity to organise events such as this one, to focus on cultural differences between Europeans, Asians and Americans.
 

The programme of the workshop includes:

•    The world through the eyes of a Chinese
•    “Only dogs do not carry business cards”
•    Solving Chinese puzzles: a first name or a surname, a woman or a man
•    Welcome ceremony: what do I do when they are applauding me and when a smile does not mean happiness
•    “I received a bouquet of red roses – this is the end” – recommended and inadvisable gifts

and many other topics of specific interest.
