DSV Group Poland: Emission free deliveries

21-06-2016

DSV has been awarded a grant from the German Ministry of Transport to test electric trucks in Cologne.

In August 2016, the test run of an e-truck will start deliveries to major drugstore chain dm-drogerie markt.

dm-drogerie markt is a long-time customer and DSV Road’s largest customer worldwide. The work to improve sustainability is a joint effort. The test truck will be converted to battery power in the Netherlands and will be able to cover 200km on a single charge.

It is emission-free, quiet and perfectly suited for last mile delivery in a dense city environment.

Funding for electro-mobility

The German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure grants financial assistance for infrastructure such as charging stations totaling EUR 7.1 million. With co-funding, the total investment in electro-mobility could reach EUR 17 million.

DSV Road in Germany is very pleased to receive a grant, and Managing Director for DSV Road Germany, Peter Fog-Petersen, received the award personally from the minister, Alexander Dobrindt.
