Panattoni Development Europe Sp. z o.o.: to build a factory for Kongsberg Automotive in Koluszki

15-02-2016

Panattoni Europe, Poland's leader in industrial property, is to build a manufacturing facility for the Norwegian automotive group, Kongsberg Automotive. The facility featuring over 6,300 sqm of space will be developed in Koluszki, Central Poland. The investment process begins in January and is scheduled to be completed this June.
.
Panattoni Europe's customer portfolio has been joined by the Norwegian company Kongsberg Automotive - a global manufacturer of automotive components and parts dedicated to automotive industry, including: seat comfort systems, driver and motion control systems for global vehicle manufacturers , for which the developer will build a manufacturing BTS project. The facility will total in excess of 6,300 sqm, of which manufacturing and warehouse space will take up more than 5,600 sqm, and office space more than 700 sqm and there will be produced components for trucks. The investment is to be built in Central Poland - in an industrial area of Koluszki, within the Łódź Economic Zone. Its completion date is June 2016.
.

The distinguishing features of Panattoni Europe's development for the new investor include the application of relative humidity control technologies which will maintain ambient humidity at 50 per cent. This is to ensure that the components manufactured and stored by Kongsberg Automotive are protected against corrosion. Other highlights include enhanced ventilation and epoxy flooring.

.
The facility for Kongsberg Automotive is being implemented by the BTS Group within Panattoni Europe, the team which some years ago initiated the trend for building "custom-tailored" manufacturing facilities, particularly those dedicated to the automotive sector. Several examples of such developments may be listed: the conversion of a 30,000-square-metre facility at the Legnica Special Economic Zone for the Lear Corporation, specialising in manufacturing components for car interiors; the construction of the Faurecia plant in Gorzów, making interior components for Volkswagen Amarok, Golf A7 and Mercedes W222, located within the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone; or the  construction of the first European factory of Polaris Industries, the US quad manufacturer, featuring 33,000 sqm - in Opole, at the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone Invest-Park.
