Medicover Poland: Certificate ISO 27001:2013

We are pleased to announce Medicover has been awarded the ISO 27001:2013 certification as one of the first medical service providers in Poland. Medicover has now been verified to comply with the ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System standard after a formal audit took place at the end of 2014.

The DNV GL (London) certification body experts evaluated a number of Medicover facilities, including the Medicover Hospital, Central Repository, Kielce Call Centre, Data Centre, five healthcare centres in selected cities in Poland and head office in Warsaw.

As part of the audit, our practices have been assessed in the following areas:

-conformity with Information Security Management System documentation (policies and processes and their execution in practice);
-measures adopted for protecting IT systems, including safeguarding service availability;
-physical security within areas where data is used (company premises access control);
-cooperation with service providers (secure communications and safe data transfer and processing);
-training;
-compliance with local law provisions (regarding the security of personal and medical records).

Moreover, the audit assessed Medicover employees’ and partners’ awareness about delivering and maintaining the security of personal information – and we are proud to announce it was give a high score. Likewise, our bespoke ISMS solutions have been rated very highly.
