SwedeCenter would like to inform you that on Friday, 27 June 2014 the topping-out ceremony took place in the hotel building forming part of the Gdynia Waterfront project.

The project is being developed between the Sea Towers and the KoÅ›ciuszki Square, by the President’s Bay, on the so-called waterfront in Gdynia. The works are planned to be completed in mid-2015.

At the present stage of the project, a Courtyard by Marriott Hotel, which will be operated by Scandinavian Hospitality Management, and an office building fully leased by PKO Bank Polski, are being constructed. 11-storey office building will offer more than 11,500 square meters of leasable space. The hotel building, being lower by two floors, will accommodate 201 rooms and a conference center.  On the groundfloors of both buildings coffee shops and restaurants are planned.

Ultimately, the Gdynia Waterfront complex will have an area of 90,000 square meters. It will comprise office and residential buildings, retail stores and service points. The concept assumes that a number of cultural and leisure facilities will be composed into the complex.

The investor and developer of the project is SwedeCenter, forming part of the Inter IKEA Group, which will also manage the newly developed complex in the future. The architectural design of the first stage of the project was created by Pracownia Projektowa FORT, and PORR Polska is the general contractor.
