Vastint Poland Sp. z o.o.: Another SwedeCenter Project with LEED Certification
21-10-2013SwedeCenter would like to inform you that the Business Garden Wrocław was awarded LEED Gold pre-certification.
It is the second office complex being constructed by the developer (the Business Garden Poznań was the first one) which received the certificate. In line with LEED principles, key solutions in the buildings comprising the business park in Wrocław are to create comfortable and pleasant working environment for its occupiers and ensure cost optimization throughout the operation period with simultaneous reduction of adverse impacts on the environment.
The main environmentally friendly building principles applied in the Business Garden Wrocław make it possible to achieve top energy efficient standards, among others owing to the use of devices equipped with motion detectors, acoustic detectors and timers, and the use of local materials, partially created in the recycling process, as well as low VOC materials.
The Business Garden is characterized by a large green area component. On the project site an internal garden will be created and it will contain plants characteristic for local ecosystems which will display a noticeable predominance of grasses which are resistant to drought. The fact that most roofs are covered with greenery will not only increase the biologically active area but it will also make it possible to reduce the green island effect and retain rain water. In the garden no permanent irrigation system is planned. Rain water will be collected in special containers and used to water plants.
The Business Garden Wrocław is one of three business parks in Poland being developed by SwedeCenter under the brandname Business Garden. Ultimately the project will consist of eight office buildings and a hotel with a conference center, which along with the surrounding garden will be located on a plot with an area exceeding 7 hectares.
The business park will feature a total of 110,000 square meters of office and retail space. As part of the first phase, which will be commenced in the first quarter of 2014, two office buildings and a hotel will be developed.
The investor and developer of the project is SwedeCenter, which forms part of the Inter IKEA Group, and which will also manage the newly constructed complex in the future. The design of the Business Garden Wrocław was created by APA Wojciechowski.
