Vastint Poland Sp. z o.o.: Ceremony to Lay a Foundation Stone for the Business Garden Project

On the 24.05.2013 a ceremony to lay a foundation stone for the Business Garden PoznaƄ, a modern business park located at MarceliƄska and BuƂgarska streets in PoznaƄ, was held.  The ceremony officially initiated substantial construction works comprising the first phase of the project. 

The project is financed by SwedeCenter,forming part of the Property Division of the Inter IKEA Group, which will also manage the newly-built complex in the future. The first phase of the project is planned to be opened in the beginning of 2015.

A 500 kg foundation stone, made of concrete, was transported using a 30-meter crane and set in the corner of the underground parking garage of one of the four office buildings being constructed at this phase of the project, seven meters below the street level.

The foundation act reads as follows: “Business Garden is a business park with the planned total leasable area of approximately eighty thousand square meters.  The complex will feature modern office space and it will offer various auxiliary services and related amenities. This innovative concept reflects an aesthetical and environmentally-friendly revolution in designing and building eco-friendly office spaces.”

During speeches comprising the official part of the event guests of honor wished the investor timely and accident-free completion of the project and they also emphasized the significance of the project. In the next two years, only on the general constructor’s site, there will be almost 200 people involved in the realization process.

Roger Andersson, Managing Director of SwedeCenter, said: “Today is a very special day. We laid a foundation stone for the first eco-friendly business park in PoznaƄ. The presently implemented phase of the project forms part of an impressive complex which will significantly change the size and standard of office space available on the local real estate market and strengthen the Poznan’s investment attractiveness.”

Peter Hartmann, Member of the Management Board of PORR (Poland) said: “After successful completion of the projects in the center of PoznaƄ (Stary Browar, Andersia Business Centre) we are now starting the construction of another project, this time in the vicinity of the Ɓawica airport. Our client, SwedeCenter, set a challenging task for us to construct, until the end of 2014, a complex consisting of four office buildings and an underground parking garage at the intersection of Bulgarska and Marcelinska streets as part of the first phase of the project planned in this area. Business Garden Poznan is the largest project of this kind being now constructed in PoznaƄ. Porr Polska will take all efforts to make sure that the newly-created project will meet all of our client’s expectations and will exercise particular care to build it with a view to meeting environmentally-friendly LEED Gold standards.”

Andrzej Nowak, Chief Architect of the City of PoznaƄ, who was present at the ceremony, said: “In 2001 the PoznaƄ City Council passed a resolution to adopt a master zoning plan for “Marcelin” zone.  Since then this part of the town started to develop dynamically.A modern road was created there.  A building permit for the construction of the first building comprising the Business Garden Poznan project was issued in August 2011.  The project well implements the City’s development strategy until 2030 by strengthening the City’s investment attractiveness, creating new jobs, supporting PoznaƄ agglomeration development and reinforcing its position as a major service center.”

Business Garden PoznaƄ, one of three business parks constructed under the brand name Business Garden, is an A class office complex with various amenities located in 9 buildings with a planned area of 80,000 square meters.  The first phase of the project planned to be opened in the beginning of 2015 will feature 42,000 square meters of leasable space. In addition to offices, the buildings will also accommodate a restaurant and retail points.  Low-rise buildings surrounded by greenery were designed based on modern and energy saving technical solutions compliant with the LEED (Gold) certification requirements.
