9-04-2013On 6 March 2013 the European Commission accepted planned state aid for a project to build the Brody-Adamowo pipeline.
The beneficiary of the aid will be the company Międzynarodowe Przedsiębiorstwo Rurociągowe "Sarmatia" Sp. z o.o., which received a subsidy of approx. PLN 545 million under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment.
The project involves the construction of a pipe connection to be used to pipe oil between the terminal in Brody and the terminal in Adamowo and further to PĹ‚ock, where it branches off to Gdansk and the Baltic Sea in the north and to Schwedt in Germany to the west.
The aim of constructing the pipeline is to safeguard oil supplies to Poland thanks to the increased number of directions from which is it piped.
Experts from DZP's Infrastructure & Energy Practice – Marcin Krakowiak, Partner, Head of Practice, Aleksandra Auleytner, Partner, Anna Glapa, Senior Associate and Irena Filipowicz, Associate – provided comprehensive legal advisory services in the notification proceedings regarding the planned state aid when the pre-notification application was drawn up, during the proceedings in which the Competition and Consumer Protection Office President issued an opinion, and also during the notification proceedings before the European Commission.
