PKO Bank Polski: Revamped www.nordea.pl Service

15-10-2012

Nordea Bank Polska is about to implement a refreshed version of its website. The change is to improve navigation and facilitate contact with the bank and searching for information for customers.

The changes on www.nordea.pl include a complete overhaul of the service – starting from the structure and presentation of information, to harmonising the graphics according to the guidelines from Nordea Group. The service has also been aligned with the requirements of the Polish market, those of the Bank and of the Polish banking supervisors. Interestingly, since 11 October the new layout can be experienced by means of a special overlay on the home page of www.nordea.pl. The official launch of the refreshed layout has been scheduled for 25 October 2012.
Top priority has been assigned to reengineering the service in such a way as to make it easier for the customer to find information about products he might be interested in, while maximising the user experience. Emphasis has been laid on simplifying the structure and proper grouping of information.

A clear and simple mega menu has been designed, offering an easy access to pages describing product categories or directly to specific product pages. Each sub-page characterising a product contains contact buttons by means of which an interested party can leave their phone number to have a bank consultant phone back within 24 hours. There is also an option of e-mail contact, if preferred by the service user.

Apart from the addition of contact buttons, the footer has been extended. There is a link to the contact page and a map of branches and cash machines on every sub-page. The footer contains the most important information, mentions the main divisions of the bank, such as the press office as well as providing general information about the bank and its affiliates.
In designing the new architecture, particular care was taken to describe products in a uniform way. This facilitates reading and looking for the necessary information. The pages also have such sections as ”Downloadable material” comprising the most important documents related to particular products and the ”You might find this interesting” section with links to products of potential interest to those viewing the given sub-page.

Based on the analysis of the search queries on the current version of the service, the most frequently searched tools have been put in the most visible places. The mega menu also contains links to them. What is also an interesting feature are tips displayed in green colour.

The launch has been prepared by Nordea Bank Polska in cooperation with Sopot-based Blue Services. The project was coordinated on the bank’s side by Agnieszka Sikora – Chief Interactive Marketing Specialist of the Marketing and Communication Department and on the service provider’s side by Natalia StrzeĹĽewska – Key Account Manager.
