The Embassy of Sweden in Poland, Swecare and the Swedish Trade Council are pleased to invite you to a Healthcare Conference on May 24 followed by a visiting program on May 25, 2012 in Warsaw.

Background

Poland faces great challenges in its’ strive to provide high qualitative and efficient healthcare to the whole population.. The needs and costs for healthcare will increase as Poland, like many other western countries, is facing a demographic change with a rapidly ageing population. There is also an urgent need for modernization and upgrading of current healthcare facilities. To address these challenges Polish authorities have developed several national strategies. Focus of these strategies is how to provide better care using the already available economic resources.

Conference and study visit

The conference is a Swedish-Polish joint initiative to create a one-day meeting with presentations, case studies and panel debates. The event will serve as a platform for exchange of knowhow and expertise between Sweden and Poland.  The purpose is also to generate specific business opportunities for Swedish companies, already present on, or planning on entering the Polish market

Focus areas of the conference will be:

• Challenges of the Healthcare systems in Sweden and Poland
• Lean Healthcare - efficient management at hospitals and other institutions

The conference provides a unique opportunity for participating companies to present their products and solutions as well as an opportunity to discuss potential business opportunities with Polish key decision makers. It will also be an important learning experience for all parties where your company will be able to learn more about planned public investments in Poland’s healthcare sector as well as of products and solutions needed in Poland.

On May 25 a study visit will be arranged to a public and a private hospital in Warsaw. This visit will give you on-site practical knowledge about the Polish healthcare system in order to identify current needs and demands.

• Relevant media will be contacted ahead of conference and sent a press release as well as invited to attend the conference on the 24th of May 2012

Together these two days provide an excellent opportunity to evaluate the demand for your products and solutions in Poland. Our aim is to tailor the conference agenda to your specific needs. Therefore we will invite Polish guests who could become your potential customers or partners.
