Invitation for a meeting with Jan Costin Wagner

Goethe Institut and Akcent Publisher would like to invite you for a meeting with German writer Jan Costin Wagner, author of detecive series of the Finnish Commissioner Kimmo Joenta.
Jan Costin Wagner, a talented young German crime fiction writer – the winner of many prizes – is coming to Poland in November to promote his two novels featuring the detective Kimmo Joentaa: „Silence” and „The Winter of the Lions”. The action of both books takes place in a Finnish city of Turku.

Jan Costin Wagner was born in 1972 in Langen, Germany. He lives in Germany, and works there as a writer and musician. But it is Finland, his wife Niina’s native country, that has become his home away from home.

"I have situated the plot in Finland. A mysterious land. I can hardly imagine a better setting for my books." - says Wagner.

The meeting will be combined with promotion of Jan latest book.

Meeting will take place in Warsaw, on the 23.11 at 18.00 in headquarter of Goethe-Institut (Chmielna 13A street).
Other meetings will be held in Kraków, 24.11 at Rynek GĹ‚ówny 20 at 18.30 and in WrocĹ‚aw, Theatre Square 5 at 19.00. Meeting with Jan Costin Wagner and Alicia Gimenez-Barlett will be hosted by Ewa Malec and Szymon Kloska.
