On February 22, 2011 the Council of Ministers accepted draft changes to the Act on Nuclear Law and the so-called investment act which introduce provisions making it possible to build nuclear power plants in Poland.
According to the government announcement the draft acts define the rules of procurements for performance of investments with regard to construction of objects connected with nuclear energy. What is more, the new provisions ensure that the society should be informed about all decisions of the nuclear supervision authorities, about the state of nuclear objects, their exploitation, incl. all factors and events which may influence the nuclear safety and radiological protection.
