On October 19, 2010 the government accepted the draft legislation which intends to change the Act on Banking Guaranteed Fund and which had been proposed by the Minister of Finance. Next, the draft will be forwarded to the Parliament for discussion. The draft is to introduce provisions of the European Union law which refer to systems of guaranteeing deposits and deadlines of payment. Therefore, the guaranteed amount will be increased from EUR 50,000 binding presently up to EUR 100,000.
