Recently Sejm accepted the Act on Making Business Information Available. The Act entirely changes the law of 2003 which has been in force until now.The new provisions are to make it possible for a considerably bigger number of entities than until now to report information to business information bureaux. At the same time, the Act will let the so-called third party creditors, i.e. entities who bought given debts, to report such information.Sejm also decided to stipulate more legal titles which would authorize to provide the bureaux with business information. Apart from a consumer loan contract one would also be able to report debts under i.a. postal services contracts, telecommunication services contracts, energy, water and gas supply contracts, waste removal contract, etc.
The Act is now with Senat, which should either accept the Act or propose changes within the following 30 days.
