On January 24, 2010 amendments to the Act on Employment of Temporary Workers came into force. Under the amendments, companies which are conducting group lay-offs may plan to employ workers temporarily as the amending act revokes Article 3 of the Act of July 9, 2003 on Employment of Temporary Workers. The Article has provided that an entity which terminated employment relations with employees by notice or by the agreement of the parties due to reasons not attributable to the employees under the group lay-off process within the preceding six months may not be an end-user employer
