On 16th March, at 19.00 in club Zoom, Street. Nowy Swiat 27, Warsaw, will be screened Norwegian movie "Upperdog" directed by Sara Johnsen with Agnieszka Grochowska in one of the main roles. This is the fifth movie shown in the series "New Scandinavian Cinema."
The film is about young people living in Oslo. Each of them in their own way is trying to achieve goals. Mads, who returned from military service in Afghanistan, wants to arrange his own live and to erase bad memories. Introverted Yanne is seeking love and is dreaming about finding brother. Working with her Maria is forced to leave Poland, where she left a son and move to Norway. Sparkling with energy and optimism seems to be a figure from another fairy tale.
According to Dagbladet, Agnieszka Grochowska, who plays Maria, is really worthy of praise.
