On January 12, 2009 the Polish president signed an act amending the Act on Promotion of Employment and Labor Market Institutions.
The changes make it easier for the unemployed and those seeking employment to return to work or to commence professional activity, by developing public service for employment and improving assistance provided to natural persons and employers. The changes also introduce pilot projects for new forms of assistance and improve the coordination of these activities at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
