The European Parliament has adopted a Council’s regulation which decreases roaming prices for voice connections and for SMS messages within the territory of the EU. New provisions come into force on July 1. Among other things, these stipulate that SMS massages sent from one EU country to the other cannot be cost more than 11 cents (without VAT).

Moreover, the process of gradually decreasing prices for roaming connections will start on July 1. From that day the maximum prices for outgoing calls will not be higher than 43 cents per minute and incoming calls will cost no more than 19 cents per minute. In the future, the prices of these connections will be lowered even.
