On May 14, 2009 the Polish President singed the Act amending the Act on Drivers’ Working Time. Amended provisions relate mainly to the manner in which an employer should record working time of drivers as well as to cases of making such records available and storing them; the provisions also regulate drivers’ work at night time.
Pursuant to the new provisions, in case of work at night time, the working time of a driver cannot exceed 10 hours in 24-hours.
An employer is obliged to make working time records available to a driver upon his/her request. Moreover, an employer is obliged to store records for 3 years since the end of the period they refer to.
