On June 1 this year the Polish President signed an amendment to the act concerning roads in Poland. The changes are aimed at creating a coherent system of raising, collecting and spending funds for investments in the road infrastructure with respect to highways and national roads. The main instrument will be the National Road Fund, which owing to the take-over of the major part of resources of the national budget will gain new possibilities to raise funds from external sources (credits, bonds).
